Hurdle Making

Learn how to make a hazel hurdle. Expert tuition from local craftsman Wyndham Morgan will enable you to build a hurdle which you can take away with you at the end of the day.

16th June and 25th August

Location Great Llwygy Farm – Llanvihangel Crucorney

10:00 to 4:00 – bring your own lunch, use of charcoal barbecue is available.

Price £20 per person.

Foraging

Discover the joys of eating wild! There are so many edible, wild foods which are delicious, nutritious and exciting not to mention their healing properties - foods which our ancestors and almost certainly our grannies knew about and used regularly. Liz Knight of Forage Fine Foods will help you unearth these foods and recipes.

Celebrating PV panels on Pandy Village Hall with Kate Humble

You are invited to celebrate the completion of the PV panels project at Pandy Village Hall on Saturday 10th December.

Venue:- Pandy Village Hall

Time:- 17:00 to 18:30

TV presenter Kate Humble has kindly agreed to officially declare the project has been completed.

Cake, biscuits, tea and something fizzy will be provided.

Coppicing, cutting and clearing - 10am at Great Llwygi

This Sunday, 6th November, we’ll be working in the top wood at Great Llwygi
from 10 am. We’ll be cutting willow and starting the rest of the coppicing;
clearing the area ready for chainsaws and for young offenders to help. Do
try to come as there’s a lot to be done.

The next weekday work party will be on Wednesday 16 November.

Sustainably coppiced wood drops carbon emissions per tonne of charcoal by 2.5 tonnes of CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) per tonne of charcoal, evening out its merits against propane gas.
