Article on the pros and cons of charcoal in the Observer:

Sustainably coppiced wood drops carbon emissions per tonne of charcoal by 2.5 tonnes of CO2e (carbon dioxide equivalent) per tonne of charcoal, evening out its merits against propane gas.

All these days will be spent coppicing, weather permitting. Start at 10am.

Friday 29 July        6pm                finishing the emptying of one kiln and loading the other. In the top wood at Great Llywgi.


Saturday 30 July        10am                loading both kilns.
